Sa TV show na “Botched”, isang series na tinatalakay ang mga nagkaroon ng problema o may maling procedure sa operasyon para maisaayos ito.
Sa interview kay Crystal Coombs, sinabi niyang kailangan niyang maoperahan matapos kagatin ng isang bulldog dahil may natanggal na ilang tissue sa kanyang mukha.
Dinala sa emergency room si Coombs, at ang naging suhestiyon ay lagyan ito ng balat mula sa kanyang groin area.

Ito ang naging dahilan nang pagtubo ng pubic hair sa kanyang mukha.
“He suggested the skin graft, take it from the groin,” ayon kay Coombs.
“I don’t believe that the doctor mentioned I would grow pubic hair out of my patch,” aniya pa.
“I don’t remember that.”

Saad naman ng plastic surgeon na si Dr. Terry Dubrow, bakit raw kinuha at ginamit ang balat mula sa groin eh marami naman umanong option.
“It’s interesting why they chose it from the groin, because there’s so many places. They could’ve done the back, the abdomen. You obviously wouldn’t do the armpits.”
Kwento ni Coombs, dati naman ay hindi niya iniisip ang kanyang kalagayan, ngunit noong siya ay naging ina na, nag-aalala na raw ito dahil baka kung ano ang sabihin ng ibang bata sa kanyang anak.
“I, at first, thought it didn’t affect me. Since having my daughter, I really started to get conscious of it. She’s 6 months, and I’m worried about the kids she’ll go to school with … I don’t want her to be teased,” sabi niya.
Nakiusap si Coombs sa mga doktor na kung pwede ay tanggalin na nila ang nasa mukha niya. Ngunit nag-aalala ang mga doktor dahil baka masira ang mukha
“We’re a little amazed that you could have that large of a chunk taken out of an area where there’s so many facial nerve branches. This is expertly done reconstruction work,” sabi ni Dr. Dubrow.
“Crystal’s case is actually deceptively very complicated. That skin graft is very close to critical anatomic structures like the nose, the cheeks and the eye, that if altered, even a little bit, can change the entire shape of the face, and look very deformed,” dagdag nito.
