Russian Embassy, nagpasalamat sa Pilipinas sa Pagligtas sa kanilang Kapitan sa kabila ng Banta ng Pandemic

Nagpahayag ng pasasalamat ang Embahada ng Russia sa gobyerno ng Pilipinas matapos diumanong iligtas ng mga Filipino ang may sakit na kapitan ng bansa, lulan ng kanilang sasakyang pandagat, sa kabila ng bantang panganib dulot ng Coronavirus disease o COVID-19.

Sa isang post sa Facebook noong Huwebes, sinabi ng embahada na si Kapitan Alexander Solodyannikov ng tanker Asphalt Transporter, ay dumanas diumano ng hindi matukoy na respiratory syndrome habang sakay ng barko.

Ayon din sa embahada hindi natulungan ng doktor ng barko si Capt. Solodyannikov at dahil sa takot sa pandemic, wala raw bansang pumayag na padaungin at papasukin ang kanilang barko, maliban sa Pilipinas.

Kwento nila, walang patumangging nagbigay ng tulong ang Pilipinas na kinuha ang kapitan sa barko at agarang dinala sa isang ospital sa Metro Manila upang maipagamot.



Narito ang buong pahayag ng Embahada: 

"Thanks to the swift and decisive actions of the Philippine Government we managed to save a life. Captain Alexander Solodyannikov of the tanker "Asphalt Transporter", a Russian national, had an attack of an unknown respiratory syndrome.

The ship's doctor could not help him and amid the COVID-19 scare no country would allow him to enter to be admitted to a hospital. The Government of the Philippines responded to the Embassy's request very quickly despite the lockdown and the quarantine measures and allowed the Captain to be taken off the ship to a medical center in Metro Manila. Things were not looking good for some time, but now Capt. Solodyannikov is safe.

On behalf of his family and ourselves we thank our dear friends from the Philippines for helping us save a life!
