WOW! Philippines Hailed as the 'Best SEA Games’ Organizer!

After 14 years of hosting the Southeast Asian Games, Philippines once again was given the privilege to facilitate the 30th SEA Games, a great opportunity for the country to prove itself not just as a worthy host of the biennial games, but also as a sports powerhouse in the region. 

Three days subsequently, the Filipino national athletes have now earned a total of 95 medals, domineering the competition in practically all sports events.

Spectators were treated to a grandiose opening ceremony of the 2019 SEA games that took place on the evening of Saturday 30 November 2019 at the Philippine Arena, in Bocaue, Bulacan.





Now after the country's best efforts in staging world-class opening ceremonies, organizing 56 sports and 530 events, the Sports Industry Awards Asia has perceived the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) for its accomplishment, and hailed Philippines as the 'Best SEA Games' organizer so far.


SPIA Asia Awards is an award-giving body in Asia that spotlights on perceiving and commending the achievements of the Asian sports industry for the past years.

It additionally organizes sports business conference, perceives, and observes Asia's Top 10 of every 25 distinct awards categories including the Asia's Best Sportsman and Asia's Best Sports Woman category, with gold, silver, and bronze being granted to the best performers.

The 'Best SEA Games' organizer award was allegedly handed by SPIA CEO Eric Gottschalk to PHISGOC chairman Alan Peter Cayetano and PHISGOC chief operating officer Ramon Suzara during a conference held in Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Chief operating officer Ramon Suzara then expressed his gratitude to the SPIA and said that the recognition will encourage the PHISGOC workforce to pursue harder and do better in the rest of the times of the biennial meet.
