A post in a public group in Facebook has recently gone viral. A netizen named Vania Zarsuela recently shared how a group called Care Health Plus System International tried to scam her by claiming that she was to receive insurance.

Zarsuela shared that her child was hospitalized months ago and that the moment that they checked in to the hospital, she was called by Care Health and told that she had won free insurance and that she should visit their office to claim her prize.
From that moment she was already suspicious because the caller knew her full name and her address.
She was even told that there was a private institution that forwarded her contact information from Philhealth and that they are connected with some banks. Annoyed with the call, Zarsuela agreed to come to the office but of course lied.
Afterwards, it was then her husband who was hospitalized and she was once again called to claim her prize. Clearly on to the scam, Zarsuela attempted to question the caller, asking them how they were able to get her number and where they got the information. Care Health said that they got her information from her credit card, but Zarsuela lied again and told them she did not have a credit card. Clearly having a hard time, Care Health dropped the call.
After the incident, Zarsuela informed Philhealth about the scam and was told that Philhealth is not in partnership with any private agency.

"WARNING:
I already messaged Philhealth about this nag post na sila regarding dito na hindi sila affiliated sa kahit anong health care provider or insurance company.
The only forms na pinill up an ko ay sa hospitals dahil sa anak at asawa ko and bank related dahil sa approval ng credit card ko.Nagtataka lang talaga ako kung paano nag leleak mga info’s kasi hindi naman namin ginagamit landline namin at walang ibang tumawag don kung di PLDT din regarding bills. Try search “Care Health Plus or Care Health International” scam ang lalabas!"
