Astronomical Prices
On Monday (September 9), Sen. Imee flagged the Japanese-American international chain of convenience stores, 711, due to its prices that shoot sky-high.
The said convenience store imposes "astronomical prices", or prices that are very high, on basic commodities such as canned goods, detergent, soap, and coffee according to Marcos.
Sari-sari store Vs. 711
The Ilocana senator pointed out the difference between the price of goods imposed by sari-sari stores against that of the 24/7 convenience stores.
Marcos said.

Eager to put a stop on these convenience stores overpriced goods, the good senator calls for the intervention of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
For Marcos, it's time the department finally regulate the prices of these stores by monitoring them, thus prevent them to drift away from the suggested retail prices (SRPs) of commodities.
Marcos said in a press release.
Imee Marcos's parents are Imelda Marcos and the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos. She was a former congresswoman and governor of Ilocos Norte.
