Mindanaoan veteran journalist Serafin Ledesma Jr. shared on
a Facebook post the recent praise that former Special Assistant to the
President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go received from the local
government of Quezon.
The local government of Quezon thanked Go for supporting the
Southern Quezon Convention project as it opens greater opportunities for both
the province and the people.
“Convention centers are considered as drivers of the economy
because it creates jobs, generates income, and increases tax revenue. Such
infrastructure is highly beneficial especially for the communities where they
are situated. It attracts visitors, tourists, and investments, which translates
to new and greater opportunities for the community,” Go said during his speech
at the blessing and inauguration of Southern Quezon Convention Center
The former presidential aide was invited by Gov. Jayjay
Suarez, Minority Floor Leader Cong. Danilo Suarez, and Alona Partylist Cong.
Anna Suarez who shared that the project was completed because of Go’s effort.

Go was invited by Quezon Gov. Jayjay Suarez, Minority Floor

unveiling of the marker that states how the project was completed with the
support of the former Special Assistant of the President.
Development for every
part of the country
Go, supporting the programs and agenda of President Duterte,
said that the Duterte Administration aims to bring development to each and
every part of the country for the betterment of the lives of Filipinos.
Go said that the Southern Quezon Convention Center will be a
huge contribution in the advancement of our nation -- providing new
opportunities and growth to the people of Quezon.
“Nais ni Tatay Digong na mapaunlad ang lahat ng bahagi ng
Pilipinas at hindi lang ang Metro Manila, kaya nais niyang magkaroon ng mabilis
na daloy ng komersyo mula at patungo sa malalayong lugar," he said.

benefit of Duterte’s infra projects
Go, in his speech, also highlighted key infrastructure
projects of the Duterte administration that will benefit the people of Quezon.
Among these are the Philippine National Railway (PNR) South
Long-Haul project that will make transportation easier from Manila to Southern
Luzon and Bicol region, the Quezon-Bicol Expressway project that will offer an
alternative route for travellers from Quezon to Bicol, and the Kaliwa Dam
Project that will improve water supply in the area.*
Go, if elected to senate, said that he will push for laws
that will bring development to every part of the country. Quality healthcare
services for each and every Filipino is also one of his top priorities through
the establishement of Malasakit Centers.
"Noong ako ay assistant pa ng ating pangulo, maraming
programa ang aking ipinatupad para sa Pilipino. Isa na rito ay ang pagtatatag
ng mga Malasakit Centers para matugunan ang pangangailangan ng ating mga
kababayang sa kanilang pagpapa-ospital. Nais kong ipagpatuloy ang magandang
gawaing ito sa Senado at sisiguruhin ko na makapagpapatayo pa ng mas maraming
Malasakit Centers sa buong bansa," Go said.

He also said that the Duterte government is planning to put
up a Malasakit Center in Quezon province before the year ends.
The Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop program of President
Duterte to hasten the delivery of medical services and give poor patients
access to free medicine. A fast lane prioritizing the senior citizens and
persons with disabilities (PWDs) will also be available.
Moreover, Go also said that he aims to legislate laws that
will fund the building of sports and development facilities in every local
govern unit wherein citizen, especially the youth can avail free sports
clinics. He will also push for the establishment of evacuation centers for
every local government unit, so that every Filipino will have a safe place to
stay in times of disasters and calamities.
