An overseas Filipino worker reported on social media that she was sexually harassed by a foreigner while overseas, and was subsequently denied any assistance in apprehending the offender.

Anne Marie Zepeda Alimon in her Facebook account, recalled how she was groped by an alleged Egyptian national while shopping for groceries in Abu Dhabi.

Alimon said that the incident occurred during her birthday while she was shopping for food.

"Lumabas ako ng bahay para bumili.ng pagkain.na.babaunin ko sa work bukas tapos etong hayop na customer hinipuan ako.. nakatakbo na ang hayop di ko na nahabol!" she recalled.

She marked the incident as her "worst birthday ever", adding in her post a cctv footage of the foreigner sexually harassing her, touching the lower portion of her front body, then running off.

She said she was teary eyed in rage.

"Tapos sabi nung nagtatrabaho sa police and embassy daw dapat nireport ko immediately eh nagreport nga ako wala ngang tumulong sakin.na staff .. well actually meron naman isa kaso ung nasa pinto hindi.hinarang," she said.

Alimon added with her statement a warning for women abroad to stay vigilant and to not go out at night.

"Kaya kayo wag kayo lalabas sa gabi girls."

She also appealed to the masses for whoever may give an identity to the face of the offender which was caught on camera.

"Sa mga Kabayan kung by somehow kilala or nakita nyo tong hayup na.lalaking to patulong nalang . Egyptian daw to bw*s*t" she said.
