An anonymous balikbayan stood up on Facebook and took no more of the nonsense that a scamming taxi driver gave her. The said scammer, named Friddie Mago with taxi plate number UWA-553, charged her P1900 for the trip from the airport to Fariñas bus terminal, an eye-widening amount for such a short trip. And the make things worse, the Mago also made her pay for the toll fees and gas on top of the eye watering cab fee.
So the balikbayan did what most victims wouldn’t have even thought about, she posted it on Facebook and gained a huge number of shares from netizens who were either or both victimized or annoyed by the scamming driver.
