Who would expect that the person that brought you to life, nurtured you and love you would eventually torture you? Sadly this happened to three children who went viral on social media after their own mother was burning their skin with a candle.

It was totally unforgivable, the poor kids were screaming at the top of their lungs as the agitated woman kept inflicting burning pain to her own children, even slapping one of them during the incident.

A GMA News report revealed that the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) found out that the woman was indeed the mother of the children and that the video was captured by her cousin. It was soon sent to the father, who posted the video on social media.

The DSWD stated that the kid’s ages were 10 months old, 2 years old and 3 years old respectively. They were soon rescued and pulled away from their abusive mother who seems to be emotionally unstable and is in no condition to take care of her kids.

Dr. Ma. Amado-Sochaco of San Mateo Rizal Municipal Health Office said that we should not quickly judge the mother for she may be going through a psychological issue called post-partum psychosis.
“Papasok na po ito sa category natin ng post-partum psychosis, isang kondisyon na nagkakaroonng abnormalidad sa pag-iisip ang isang babaeng nanganak. Maaring makapag trigger nito ay nagkaroon siya ng matinding pagsubok sa buhay gaya ng kahirapan, pang-aabuso o emosyonal na problema,” she said.
